AGNOSTIC

Agnostic Definition: (Old Greek) Ignorance - Not Knowing

Oftentimes many of us associate agnostic with religion; however, everyone is agnostic with various subject matter. For example: It's fairly safe to say most people are ignorant or agnostic concerning quantum physics.
There are two types of a person who is agnostic on any subject matter. The first type is a positive agnostic which is beneficial in gaining knowledge. Examples: A person may be agnostic about a internal combustion engine works. If the person is positive agnostic they will have a positive desire to gain that knowledge
The second type is being a negative agnostic which is also called being a willful agnostic. Examples: A person is an agnostic or desire for willful ignorance concerning Christianity.

It becomes easy to understand why a positive agnostic is beneficial to individuals and ultimately to society. It's also easy to understand why a person wants to gain knowledge; however, why would a person desire being a negative agnostic on the Christian religion or any subject matter?

Acquiring knowledge can result in responsibility and oftentimes making a decision to either act on the knowledge or not act on the knowledge. That person no longer has the safety of plausible deniability. Plausible deniability is the ability of people who deny knowledge of or responsibility for actions.
I believe the prophet Hosea in the Bible, 4:6 KJV. Read the verse below that states how God judges willful lack of knowledge and rejection of knowledge. ("Knowledge is a call to action".) There are people who claim they are atheists; however, if they are questioned if they have read the Bible or teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ, and they answer no. They could be in reality an agnostic. If they accept a person challenge to study they may change their decision and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children." Hosea 4:6 KJV
