1. What should I expect if I attend a church service?

On Sundays at 10:45 a.m., we gather together for worship. The song portion of our service lasts for about 20 minutes, while the remainder of the time is spent listening to Pastor's Bible teaching. Our service lasts approximately an hour and 15 minutes.

2. Is it okay to bring my children into the Worship service?

Yes, children are welcome. Some young children may find it difficult to leave their parents in an unfamiliar setting. We hope that families who begin to attend our church will come to appreciate the value of their children developing close friendships with their peers in the context of the local church.

3. What version of Bible the do you use?

We teach from the King James Bible. We believe that the King James Version is the Word of God.

4. What type of music can I expect to hear?

South Middleburg Baptist Church uses traditional hymns, songs and music to the Glory of God.

5. Is there a dress standard at your church?

There is no specific dress code for those attending our service.

6. How big is South Middleburg Baptist Church?

At the time of this writing, we have 100-150 people who attend on Sunday morning.

7. What type of sermons will I hear?

Sermons are the center of the worship service. We believe that verse by verse teaching is the most effective message of the Word of God.

9. When was South Middleburg Baptist Church founded?

The church was founded in 1998 and is pastored by Reverend Delton Kilpatrick. South Middleburg Baptist Church began because of a burden God gave to Reverend Calvin Childers to start an Independent Baptist Church in the Middleburg area. With his wife Sue, Reverend Calvin set about to do God’s bidding and now the obedience of one man to God’s calling has resulted in a dynamic church in a dynamic setting.

10. Who leads the church?

While we believe that the church itself is the final authority in all matters of church government, we realize God has given us a pastor to lead us. He is assisted by the deacons of the church.

11. Where did the pastor attend Bible college?

Pastor Kilpatrick attended Freedom Seminary, Jacksonville University and Andersonville Theological Seminary. Read more about Pastor Kilpatrick.
