Creationism V. Darwinism Theory of Evolution

June 19, 1987, the Supreme Court issued a landmark ruling that dramatically reshaped the debate over teaching evolution in public schools. In Edwards v. Aguillard, the high court struck down a Louisiana law requiring that schools teach creation science whenever students learn about evolution. The court ruled that the law’s purpose was to promote religion and thus that it violated the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause. In issuing its ruling in Edwards, the court effectively closed the door on efforts to teach the biblical creation story in public school science classes. (Reference: US Supreme Court)

Essentially, what Borel said was that any event with a honking big (a technical term used by mathematicians) level of improbability would never happen. The learned Frenchman put a number on it-10 to the power of 50, written as -in order to impress upon the common herd that its members are not mathematicians. That is expressed as: One in 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. The odds of human DNA happening spontaneously is one in 10 with 40,000 zeros after the 10. (Note: I haven't the time to type the number 10 with 40,000 zeros after it.)
